Mizuno sneakers always stand out thanks to their ambitious silhouettes, oversized soles, and crisp colorways. But Mizuno's eyeball-infused Enerzy running shoe might be the most wild sneaker we’ve seen in a minute (and you know, we see a lot of sneakers).
Wearing an all-blue upper and a bulbous orange sole as big as an actual tire, this is objectively the craziest Mizuno running shoe out there and considering that Mizuno makes some of the craziest sneakers in the world, that's saying something.
As if that wasn’t eye-catching enough, Mizuno added little googly eyeballs all over the sole, too.
What with the bubbling effect on the sole, it’s like a cartoon monster turned into an IRL shoe. On first glance, it’s impossible to see what use one might have for this playful albeit mind-boggling sneaker, as you're probably not gonna be doing any actual running in this thing.

But like all very confusing things, there is in fact a raison d'être for this beast of a Mizuno sneaker.
The trainer was designed by Mizuno for the 2025 Japan World Fair, specifically the Osaka Expo 2025 leg.
And, because the logo for the expo is a loopy sort of circle complete with little white and blue circles that resemble eyeballs around the ring, so too does Mizuno's accompanying Enerzy sneaker.
The Japanese footwear brand took World Fair logo and gave it life by reinterpreting it as the sole of the sneaker, while the expo turned the logo into a mascot creature named Myak Myak, complete with plush toys and branded merch.
Mizuno's Enerzy sneaker is up for pre-order until the end of May via Mizuno's web store for ¥30,800 (about $200), where you can also find two children’s sneakers with the same blue and orange motif.
